Astana to get airport expansion ahead of World Expo

Astana has announced plans to double the size of its airport over the next two years. The plans include expanding the airport to 45 thousand square metres, with a capacity to handle 7.5 million passengers a year (the airport saw close to 3 million passengers in 2014). The expansion is set to be completed before the World Expo to be held in Astana in 2017. Read more: inform.kz
