British Airways is jetting to the aid of nervous flyers later this month. The airline’s pilots and crew members will work specifically with those afraid of plane journeys on a special one-day course in Dublin on 28 March.

The Irish Independent reports that the ‘Flying with Confidence’ day will specifically deal with misconceptions surrounding such problems as turbulence. Working hand-in-hand with the crew will be a clinical psychologist who will show participants techniques on how to relax during flights.

The course includes a flight where the airline personnel explains how the plane actually flies. BA says that one in four people have some sort of a flying fear while 10% have an actual phobia.
