The people of Taiwan have been urged to conserve water as the island suffers from the worst drought since it began recording rainfall data. The economics ministry, which looks after water usage in Taiwan, began rationing water on Wednesday by reducing water pressure from taxed reservoirs for two-hour periods. The ministry advised the public to use water ‘sparingly’ until late May when the annual rainy season begins. Read more: chinapost.com.tw
