Eric Clapton will celebrate his 70th birthday with two shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden in May.
The guitarist announced today that he will perform at the famed venue on May 1 and 2 to mark the milestone, which he reaches on March 30.
Clapton, a former member of the Yardbirds and Cream, has performed at MSG more than 40 times.
Clapton will be accompanied by his band members Paul Carrack, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Sharon White and Michelle John for the shows.
The concert dates could change due to the NBA play-offs.
