As well as getting hints of peach and apple with their wine, some drinkers of California vino are getting not-so-subtle amounts of arsenic in their favourite tipple. Around 30 winemakers in the state have been accused of allowing more than the allowed limit of arsenic in their products (10 parts per billion) and are being taken to court. The claims were dismissed as ‘misleading’ by the Wine Institute. Read more: reuters.com
