By hosting sporting events, tourism seminars and with extra marketing push, NYC & Company, the New York tourist board, hopes to attract a whopping 67 million visitors to the city by 2021. The aim, announced at the organisation’s annual meeting this week, would represent a 10 million increase over the next six years. The most important markets for growth are China and South America. Visits from China increased 21% in 2014 alone. Read more: skift.com
