A UK-Ireland air route is to close. Flybe said it would be suspending its flights between Southend airport in Essex and Dublin from April 13.
Flybe chief commercial officer Paul Simmons said: “Flybe has a disciplined approach to the routes it operates, which means we continually review our network to ensure that we offer the right choice of destinations for our customers.
“As part of a recent review, we have taken the decision to suspend this route with effect from April 13 2015 as passenger numbers regretfully continue to remain below those projected.
“Passengers who have booked to fly on this route are being contacted and offered an alternative flight or a full refund.
