Forest fire closes demilitarised zone between North and South Korea

A forest fire which broke out on Monday has closed the border between North and South Korea. The fire broke out in the DMZ, a 4-kilometre-wide buffer border between the two countries. By Monday evening, the fire had already destroyed around a square kilometre of land and proved tricky to fight as the DMZ is riddled with land mines. Though the cause of the fire is as yet unknown, no foul play is suspected as both North and South Korea firefighters were working to put out the blaze. Read more: upi.com
