Government officials in Malegaon in the Indian state of Maharashtra have ordered local people to take mugshots of their cows to help the police enforce the ban on the sale of beef. Maharashtra introduced the beef ban in March after a nineteen year campaign by devout Hindus. The city was also the first place in India to enforce the ban, with three arrests for illegal selling of beef on 25 March. Read more: timesofindia.indiatimes.com
