Dana Meise of Prince George, BC, has already completed the 16,000km stretch of the Trans Canada Trail that extends from Cape Spear, NL, to Victoria, BC. But this summer he hopes to finish the task of hiking the entire trail by tackling the 1700km section stretching from Whitehorse to Inuvik, NWT.
The 40 year old will be the first to hike the entire trail, a task that has taken eight years to complete. The final segment is expected to last three months, during which he will stop to talk to schools. He also plans to film a movie and write a book about his experiences. Read more: canada.com
