Singapore’s Jurong Bird Park welcomes five rare species

Five species of rare birds have moved into their new home at the recently-upgraded Wings of Asia aviary at Singapore’s Jurong Bird Park. New residents include the Cabot’s tragopan pheasant, a Chinese bird known for its fleshy blue ‘horns’ above the eyes, the critically endangered Edward’s pheasant, endemic to Vietnam, Vietnamese pheasants, pink-headed imperial pigeons found in Timor-Leste and eastern Indonesia, and island imperial pigeons, commonly found in the forests of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
