The Carowinds theme park, or the self-titled ‘Thrill Capital of the Southeast’, in North Carolina has been giving its visitors a little more excitement than they bargained for recently. The park’s newest rollercoaster, the Fury 325, stalled three times in a week last week, leaving riders stopped at the top of a steep incline. The roller coaster is billed as the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster and travels up to 95 mph. Officials at the park explained the malfunction as a safety mechanism kicking in.
