A team of 20 climbers from India are stuck at 18,000 feet on the north slope of Everest. The climbers are in Chinese territory, but rescue efforts have been hampered by aftershocks and confusion over which country is responsible for the rescue. Chinese officials say that a rescue will only be possible once the tremors cease and group leaders have appealed to the Times of India newspaper for help after requests through formal government channels were ignored.
