Sweden’s most translated author, the late Astrid Lindgren, is to be honoured with a museum in her name when her apartment opens to the public later this year. Lindgren died in 2002, and her Stockholm apartment hasn’t been altered since then. But while she is most famous for creating the adventurous character Pippi Longstocking, her family insists that the museum will focus on the celebrated writer as a person, rather than her work, and visitors will be required to book a guided tour.
