San Francisco raccoon attack gives family a real-life Halloween horror story

It might sound like the start of a scary movie, but an attack on a family by a pack of raccoons was all too real.

The parents of a San Francisco resident had flown in to the city from Ireland to spend time with their daughter and were walking her dogs in the Richmond neighbourhood when around a dozen of the animals came out of the bushes and attacked them. Both the humans and the dogs were bitten and one member of the group had to have anti-rabies injections. It’s not the first time raccoons have turned on humans in the city and locals are being advised to take care. Read more: sfist.com
