Glacier National Park received over 2.3 million visitors in 2015, making it 10th among the United States’ most popular national parks.
It was a new record for the park, which is 105 years old. Last year the park also welcomed its 100 millionth visitor. The 1583-square-mile park in Montana is known for its variety of outdoor activities set within the pristine ecosystem of the Rocky Mountains.
The National Parks Service, which is made up of 405 sites, including 59 with the national park designation, reported 307 million visitors across the country last year. Great Smoky Mountains National Park topped the list, with 10.7 million visitors arriving in 2015. Read more: billingsgazette.com
