The Big Apple’s skyline is spectacular on any given day, but it’s breathtaking on Independence Day. The best view is across the East River in Brooklyn and Queens, where you can see the Macys fireworks above the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.
San Diego Bay is another stunning place to be, watching the night sky light up above the neon of the County Fair. They’re launching their own fireworks at 9pm, while the Big Bay Boom will also be let off at the same time. Remember to look up!
Is there anywhere better to be on such a night than the nation’s capital? Fireworks will shoot across the sky against the backdrop of the National Monument and Capitol Hill.
The good people of Boston put on a fantastic display on the banks of the Charles River, lighting the sky in red, blue and white. The fireworks get going at 10.30pm, but there’s a concert by amazing orchestra Boston Pops from 8.30pm.
