Organise your accessories with Marie Kondo’s new travel cases

If you’ve already followed the advice of de-cluttering guru Marie Kondo and cleared your house of anything that doesn’t bring you joy, then it may be time to do the same with your travel accessories.

Kondo is famous for her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying-Up and the “KonMari Method” of organisation, which focuses on transforming a cluttered home into something more serene. Now, she has teamed up with the clothing brand Cuyana to create a special range of leather jewellery cases that are designed for travel.

One of Kondo’s philosophies centres on minimalism and only keeping items that truly bring you joy. The bento box-inspired cases are designed specifically for travel – and bringing that much-needed joy. According to Cuyana’s website: “Marie’s inspiration for our collaboration stems from her futile search for a high-quality travel set that also featured dividers—no easy feat, as she soon discovered.”

The travel collection is made up of three mini leather cases ($180), which fit inside a larger jewellery box ($115). There are three different colour schemes – joy, fun and love – inspired by emotions that Kondo explores in her work. With Kondo-devotees around the world, it’s no surprise that the cases are currently sold out, but customers can add themselves to the wait-list and be notified when they are restocked in May.
