Hong Kong may soon begin charging passengers an ‘airport improvement fee’. An official from the Hong Kong International Airport Authority stated that a fee could be introduced to help pay for the airport’s new US$16.8 billion third runway, which has been planned to cope with growing capacity at HKIA.
