Australian cruises are different Karen...but it's not 18 years old. You must be 19 to book.

ive been on 4 cruises and yes we did have to have a passport so it depends on where u go.. Dont judge others for their smoking.. thats wrong..especially seeing your did it as well..Thats hypocrytical dont you think.. . i too used to smoke but I would never be rude to others about it..

On Carnival Cruises, yes, there is a place for smoking. It is located on the other side of the rails. Just climb over the rail and make sure you have your swim attire on. But yes, the smoking areas are located around the whole ship but just on the outside of the rails.

My wife is pregnant, we checked with the cruise line last night, you cannot cruise unless you are under 24 weeks- Now they count pregnancy weeks a bit weird, technically when you are in your 23rd week you are actually in your 24th week. Best to go when you are 22weeks and down.

Update: Passport books are required. Other than that, we never know what life brings us. Great to hear about your personal cruise experiences.

Why limit yourself to closed loop cruises though? A passport is a small expense and is valid for 10 years. And you can visit 100+ countries without a visa.

Just a note for people watching the video some of this information is incorrect. My boyfriend and I were able to go on Carnival together just as long as we were both 21. If one of us was a minor than the other would have to be 25. Another point, I know some ships allow 18-20 year olds to drink wine and beer but not hard liquor.

On Princess ships you get a 'Cruise Card' which tells you your muster station, the voyage number, time and table and resteraunt you have your dinner in etc, it also is your key to open your cabin. also on Princess ships., The minimum drinking age is 18. And. It is completely worth it if you buy the drinks pack. It's free unlimited sodas and milkshakes for the whole of the cruise. (Not sure how much they cost. Sorry, I just get given mine for free.) should you be concerned about the money you are spending in the atrium of all Princess ships, there is this machine in which you put your cruise card into and it tells you the balance and everything you have bought with your card. All this ONLY applies to a princess cruises. It will vary between cruise liners.

When we cruised with NCL, young adults aged 18-21 could drink beer and wine with parental consent. Not sure if that's changed, last cruise with NCL was almost three years ago.

The food was excellent, as was the service and the facilities. I was on-board it for a week during the winter Mexican tour and during the days-at-sea that we had, I had a fun time joining in with the activities the crew prepared and just wandering off by myself to experience the pool, library, ect. The menu was different each night but same for each restaurant, so basically it didn't matter which restaurant you went to each night you would have the same menu at each restaurant except for the special restaurants (Steakhouse and Sabatinis', those had their own menus) you basically just had to find a restaurant that had room for your whole party.
