Officials at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin are predicting that the popular ice caves of the region could be open to the public this weekend. The ice must be just right: thick enough and locked on the trail out to the caves. Last year around 138,000 people visited the caves. Read more: chicagotribune.com
