A strong economy and booming international tourism has seen New Zealand accommodation prices rise by six times the rate of inflation. Accommodation bookings site Hotels.com says the average price paid by foreign visitors rose by 7% to $163 per night. New Zealand hotels are reportedly experiencing their highest annual occupancy rates in 10 years with no signs of this abating in the year ahead.
