A nuclear bunker designed for Northern Ireland’s elite is going on sale.
It is hoped the site, which covers 3.74 acres and has been kept in a “fit and ready state” for emergencies since 1990, will sell for around £600,000. The bunker dates from 1987, although its existence was only confirmed in 2007, and is believed to be one of the last and most advanced buildings of its kind to be built in the UK. The bunker, which the agents suggest could be used for tourism, boasts “interlocking double blast doors”, broadcasting facilities and conference rooms. Read more: bbc.co.uk
