Bhutan will become the first country in South Asia to offer official protection to a whole river system to prevent environmental degradation of dependent ecosystems. Scientists are now assessing the nation’s rivers to see which will benefit most from protection as a new river reserve, with rivers hosting endangered species topping the list.  Read more: kuenselonline.com
