WOW, this is a great presentation that I am sure our Family will enjoy! I have been recording great videos like this one for my son's who are 8 and 10. They were watching Sponge Bob the other day so I sat down with them and watched this show for the first time. I was shocked at the insanity of this show, I could not watch it anymore so I started a quest to find shows that are educational and fun to watch. I then realized that there are thousands of great videos here on YouTube. I found a program that will record them so that I can plug my PC into my TV and play these great educational presentations for my son. He loves them and has not asked to watch Sponge Bob or Garfield anymore. The program I use is Replay Media Catcher and if anyone out there is interested, here is the link: http://applian.com/replay-media-catcher/ You can record any YouTube video for free with this program and it is super easy to use. Now I do not feel like my son is getting brainwashed by watching the horrible shows that are geared for kids these days. Thanks again for posting!

This is NOT power of nature, This is power of GOD. He creates everything, including ants, nature and every thing else. SUBHANALLAH !

don't be so damned arrogant by saying, "We crack their (ants) secret code." You think you know but you actually know nothing.

Ant society is so much like human society, for instance ants are social, live in complex societies, have division of labour, farm aphids, keep slaves (in some species) and invade other nests as part of warfare and annexation. It is really interesting and funny how primitive human society was until recently (still is in some places) to be like that of ants and bees (which are relatives of ants). In fact the ant species Formica rufescens keep slaves (another ant species) but are very nice to their slaves than compared with humans. Further the species Formica sanguinea hunts for slaves (species F. fusca) and what is surprising is that the masters are red ants and their slaves are black ants, parallel with the instance of the human transatlantic slave trade. Monarchies are like bee hives and most ant nests like republics.

I believe the Bullants are very under rated, personally having studied Jumping jacks myself and observed their behaviour they seem to be one of the smartest species of ant when it comes to individual intelligence. I had a colony of about 200 ants (Do not ask how i managed to get 200 jumping jacks, not easily ill put it that way) Their willingness to accept members from other colonies after what seems like an initiation to see if they are worthy to join the colony for an example, add a Jumping jack and they would fight it, if it lived through the fight they would accept it into the colony, as far as them fighting each other on on different occasions it seemed to be purely a thing of natural selection, strong genes succeed and all that, otherwise they were never aggressive toward each other, they even groomed each other which was surprising for me being such aggressive ants, not only that one would defend another from attack. May also have something to do with knowing when you look down at them, they are looking back up at you and they can see you fine. They may be small colonies (Of only 200 or so) but in my opinion they are one of the most interesting by far. No other ant has been able to catch my interest to the point where i would just sit and watch a colony work for hours at a time.

This has both adorable and sad things about ants... I don't understand why I always see arguments about religion in ant documentaries... This is not showing the power of God, this is showing the power of ants. It is ants who are responsible for this, not God.

I came here after watching those ant hill art videos, and their comments section is filled with people attacking ant lovers saying ants don't really have consciousness, they don't feel pain and things like that. Then there is this documentary where it shows ants to be equally if not more intelligent as humans..

So what is the point of life to ants? To work? To ensure their offspring has life? What is the benefit of living if all they do in their lives is to work? What are they producing other than future work? Wouldn't you say their instincts were programmed on purpose by another force to benefit something bigger?

I watched this video last night and it gave me nightmares I fricking swear it did. So informative and completely intimidating to a simply human being who is a member of a wasteful, inefficient, emotional, warring, terrified, superstitious, cannibalistic, cruel, predatory, paranoid, and indifferent social order. Just something to think about. #science #ants

So I was just watching a documentary about the bee colony that was attacked at 6:00. These ants screwed over the bees big time I'm unsure who to root for,

Human curiosity is just sick man. Just to find out how and why ants do what they do, without any profit coming out of understanding except knowledge, these guys fucking destroyed a nest that had probably taken years and years to build, then they fucking pour down concrete in another nest, stupid fucks, leave the ants alone.

Please, don't go down into the comment section. Somehow, the religious fucks got here too. It's amazing why they jump about on nature/science videos to further their bloody propaganda...
