The rarest coin currently in circulation in Britain is a £2 coin commemorating the role played by the Royal Navy in the First World War.
Only a 100 of these coins has been issued by the Royal Mint, and if serendipity is in your corner, they could even turn up in your change from this week.
ITV reports that the new coin will be circulated more widely and will be unveiled with a new portrait of the Queen next month.
In the past the Royal Mint has produced a number of rare coins. These include a 50p coin celebrating Kew Garden from 2009 when over 200,00 coins were minted.
