If you’re thinking of going abroad to get married, a hotel in Bali is offering loved-up couples the opportunity to walk down the longest floating wedding aisle on the island. The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has launched new ocean-view water weddings packages that include an overwater aisle measuring 57 metres.
The aisle has been introduced in the resort following completion of a two-year renovation. Couples can opt for elevated 180-degree sunset views as they exchange vows perched on top of an infinity pool 35 metres above the sea. They cross a suspension bridge between two rivers to exchange vows on an elliptical lotus pond, high above the trees with 360-degree valley views. They can also have a beachfront wedding at glamorous beach club, Sundara, and its pool can be transformed into the floating aisle directly over Jimbaran’s golden beach.
The floating venues – launched as part of a new Ultimate Water Wedding Experience – includes a full five-night buyout of either Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay or Four Seasons Sayan. The experience begins as soon as the couple lands in Bali with VIP airport arrival and transfer, accommodation for all guests and dedicated service from the entire staff: 40 chefs, 150 butlers and room attendants, and 30 spa therapists, recreation and wellness experts.
On the wedding day itself, the ceremony will be held at one of the new water wedding venues, accompanied by a traditional blessing and vibrant Balinese dance performance. The all-villa beach resort is located in a quiet corner of Jimbaran Bay, and blends traditional Balinese architecture with 14 hectares of tropical gardens cascading down to the ocean. Its wedding specialist also manages the process for couples to legally marry in Bali.
Water weddings are the latest innovation at the resort, following the complete renovation of 147 pool villas. The 1296-square-metre Imperial Villa, has doubled its previous size to become the location for a wedding reception and honeymoon in one venue.
