The Italian interior ministry has approved a plan to deploy 4800 soldiers around the country to guard various sensitive sites against potential terrorist attacks. The sites chosen are expected to include famous tourist attractions and archaeological sites, as well as synagogues and the Vatican. So far Islamist websites have posted vague threats against Pope Francis, but there has been no specific threat identified. Read more: theguardian.com
