The government of Greece may introduce a tax for tourists spending their holidays on expensive islands and in luxurious hotels. The government is under pressure to end the special tax status of many Aegean Islands where tax is reduced by 30% compared with the rest of Greece. The reason for reduced tax on these islands is tourism development and the high cost of transporting goods. Read more: news.gtp.gr
