Who would like to help me get to Hawaii for a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my marching band? Please check out my campaign link http://www.gofundme.com/ibxye4 No really, I mean it. Any fundraising support would be fantastic.

I just got back Thursday from 2 weeks in Hawaii. It was my sixth time there and I always enjoy going. Waikiki has changed a lot since my first trip there in 1980. On the down side, Honolulu is now very expensive and overpriced. I will go back to Hawaii again, but Tahiti is next on my travel list.

An educational trip that's worth the price of an air return ticket from Asia alone. Awe-inspiring. Beautiful images. Wonderful narration. A big thank you.

Eventually, I would love to live in Hawaii. But it reminds me so much as Guam. I've been to Hawaii for vacation, and it was really nice. A little bit more expensive, then Guam. But I didn't care, I wouldn't let it spoil my beach snorkeling time. ^^

Why is it that the vast majority of Indian chefs happen to be male? I've only seen a handful of YouTube videos where the chef is female in India.

A fan of Indian cuisine myself, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND to all visiting INDIA not to buy their street food. Better to pay an Indian meal in a very clean restaurant than buying on the streets. It is an Indian way of life for all Indian males to defecate anywhere on the roads and streets. One time I was taken by a colleague in a town somewhere in Punjab and introduced me to a street food stall selling Panipuri. I was excited to taste the product. The man preparing the Panipuri excused himself and walked 2 meters from the stall and just took a stinking dumped where everybody can see. IT WAS SMELLY, HORRIBLE AND DISGUSTING!!!! I just puked all day long. He wiped with a rag that they use to clean their silverware.

Onion cutting is nothing great. I'll tell you why. Go to most restaurants in India, go to most street food vendors in India, you'll get to see the exact same skill. Even better most of the times I'd say. Forget onions, they cut pretty much all vegetables with equal ease. Understand that I'm talking about some 10 million eateries here in a country of a billion plus.
