Hawaiian Airlines said it will retrofit its inter-island aircraft with new seats that will reduce legroom. The airline says its 18 Boeing 717 aircraft will get new, lightweight seats, but the seats will not be able to recline and leg pitch will be reduced by about one inch. Ten extra passengers will be able to fit into the cabin with the new configuration. Spokespeople for Hawaiian Airlines said the new seats are supposed to maximize space without limiting comfort, and the seats are ‘pre-reclined at an angle that our guests will find comfortable.’ Read more: travelmole.com
