Fans of The Walking Dead and terrifying theme park rides, rejoice! Universal Studios Hollywood is set to open its latest attraction based on the hit TV show this coming Monday, July 4th, and this week opened its gates to give fans and press a preview of what’s to come. Don’t Open, Dead Inside is set to thrill those who love the TV show, and introduce it to those that don’t.

Zombies wandered around the amusement park on Tuesday as the walk-through scare ride launched. It begins in an eerie hospital setting and takes tourists to different locations inspired by the show, where actors playing human survivors as well as the undead get up close and personal with visitors. Cast members from previous seasons and those still in the show attended the launch, which featured a gang of burly bikers dragging walking dead in chains. Not for the faint-hearted, gangs of zombies also approached the ride. If the aim here is frighten and thrill, it seems Universal can consider their mission accomplished.
