For the opening since you insist on keeping that hi, why don't you just have the hi, a nice family photo with theschuermanshow printed on top of it and the cool dude at the end with the music edited down?

Jay...did the legs on the chairs screw in like the table? I bought that same set like 7 years ago and the legs just pupped in and they always come out. If they now have those screws, I will go buy new ones.

I never noticed the wood cutting board before. I love the lip on it, guess who's going to Ikea this weekend? My ex boyfriend and I bought a Entertainment Center from Ikea it came with zero directions. A lot of their things don't come with directions. It took us 4 hours with a lot of cussing lol

Jay, watching how patient you are with the kids is so heartwarming. Oh, I just died when the three of you were working as a team getting the table pieces up the stairs and then building it--those are the things to remember when you are having a rough parenting day:) I can't believe how fast it flies by--I just gave birth to my two kids and they are already 13 and 14 years old...lol I just feel so blessed to be able to stay home with them! It's obvious to see that you and Sam are such loving parents!! xoxo Melody

Thank you so much for addressing the shaky camera issues Jay. I never said anything since a lot of other people already did, but yeah it was like motion sickness to the 100th power. Lol. Looking forward to not getting dizzy and having to fast forward through lots of the content.

While I think it's great that you've now started responding to viewers comments, at some point you have to evaluate what you want your channel to be. At the moment it's incredibly repetitive (Eating, walks, kids playing, shopping) which, while nice to watch occasionally, I can't watch every day! With the kids presumably starting preschool and proper school soon, what will the vlogs be then? Will you end them? Because in order to increase your amount of subscribers, you'll have to try and make the vlogs a bit more creative and relatable - because to be honest there's not a lot we can relate to with both parents staying at home playing with kids all day! Maybe you could incorporate some educational activities into your day and make it more structured, or try and see other youtuber families? This is all meant as constructive criticism :)

One day, I'll save up and go back to Switzerland. My parents are not good tourists because they just want to "glance at the usual" then run back home. They aren't even interested in the history. Switzerland is one of my favorite places and I'd love to walk in a place like Gimmewald or Maienfeld and milk a cow or help call the cows out to the farm (that's the purpose of those huge bells). Rick is saying, you'll enjoy your trip more if you try out their lifestyles just once instead of standing by and snapping away with the camera. Oh, and Europe is very clean in many parts. I've drunk from a public fountain in Switzerland even though my parents were too chicken to even approach it. Hey, the locals were drinking from it and it didn't cramp their stomachs. And it tasted great, no chlorine or smelly chemicals. How many people in your town can say they've drunk water from the Swiss Alps but not from a plastic bottle?

Again Rick is spot-on. I can't understand why so many Americans go for the huge highrise hotels that are just plain horrible. Downtown little hotels are more charming, cheaper and really add to your experience. Plus, you're supporting the local economy. I'm European and I always opt for a small, cozy budget hotel in the city centre. Or youth hostels, cheap and they have private rooms, too. Btw, while tipping is not compulsary here, it is always appreciated. It shows you've enjoyed your meal and the service. But don't overdo it. Rounding up the bill or putting a few 1 or 2 Euro coins on the saucer will suffice.

We followed Rick Stevens's book and went to Europe couple years ago. We visited 17 countries and 26 cities. the trip was great. We will try one more time in the near future.
