If you want to have a luxurious experience this summer, it may be time to head to Greece and stay at Europe’s most expensive hotel room in the Peloponnese.

The Amanzo’e hotel in Greece is the most expensive place to stay in Europe this summer, according to a recent survey from Luxury-Hotels.com. The company, a booking site for thousands of luxury accommodations, reviewed the cheapest available rates for a double room at a variety of hotels around Europe for July and August, based on a two- or three-night stay.

At the top was the Greek hotel, located in the Kranidi, with an average rate of €1779 per night. The hotel’s website describes Amanzo’e as a “modern hilltop acropolis” that is “surrounded by undulating olive groves and overlooking the turquoise Aegean Sea”.

But while it was first on the list, one European country stood out for having the most hotels in the top 20 most expensive hotels. Twelve of the top 20 can be found in Italy, in places like Cagliari, Lucca, Capri, Siena, Porto Cervo, Venice and more.

France and Greece each had three hotels in the top 20, while the UK and Turkey each had one.
