Mexico’s Mazatlan pre-Lent carnival gets ready to rock

The third-biggest carnival celebrations in the world start tomorrow in the Mexican resort of Mazatlan. The pre-Lent festival here dates back to the nineteenth century and modern events include a mix of cultural offerings, including performances at the city’s beautiful Teatro Angela Peralta, and lively parades through the streets.
