Later this year, Qatar airways will launch its newest flight route, a non-stop commercial service to Auckland, surpassing rival Emirates for the title of the world’s longest flight.
The flight will take around 17.5 hours, covering 9031 miles from Doha to Auckland – 207 miles longer than the Emirates service to the New Zealand city. The Doha-Auckland route will be flown using Boeing 777-200LR planes and will launch on 3 December 2016.
