In a ruling unique to the flight route, low-cost air carrier Ryanair has banned passengers from carrying alcohol into the cabin on flights from Glasgow to the party island of Ibiza. Passengers on Ryanair flights are usually allowed to buy duty-free alcohol at the airport and take it on the flight with them, though they are not permitted to drink it while on board. On the Glasgow to Ibiza route, passengers are now required to check their duty-free purchases at the gate. The airline would not comment on whether the new policy was a result of a specific incident, but said ‘We will not tolerate unruly behaviour at any time’. Read more: skift.com
