Most people would complain about finding a fly in their soup, but what about a collection of precious gemstones? Last week, a restaurant in Franklin, Tennessee, served up an oyster containing 50 baby pearls. Puckett’s Boat House was first alerted to the find when a diner, 53-year-old Toni Elliot, complained about biting into something hard in her oyster. When the restaurant server went over to investigate, they discovered it was a pearl, and there were dozens more hiding in the same bivalve on her plate. The restaurant cleaned the pearls and gave them to Elliot to take home. ‘It was her oyster, so they’re her pearls,’ the restaurant server said. Read more: abc.go.com
