From March, Wuhan will become the twelfth city in China to offer 72-hour visa-free stays. The scheme allows travellers with confirmed onward flights to a third destination to stay in a participating city for 72 hours without applying for a visa prior to arrival. Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province, joins Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Xi’an, Guilin, Kunming and Hangzhou in offering the increasingly popular visa-free option.
